You may have seen me recently go after Michael Scheuer for thinking another terrorist attack is in America's best interest (and Glenn Beck for his not-so-tacit agreement). I strongly disagree and think an attack would do nothing but bring unnecessary suffering. The day our lawmakers learn a lesson that way will be the day Sarah Palin learns to properly diagram a sentence ANY way.
Still, as long as Scheuer and Beck aren't actually participating in terrorism, they can suggest someone assassinate President Obama by dropping an anvil from the White House roof, for all I care. That's all these things are--suggestions. Stupid, backwards, "I didn't believe anybody when they told me not to stick my finger there" suggestions.
That's why MSNBC's Keith Olbermann completely overreacted by claiming the Department of Homeland Security should pay Scheuer and Beck a visit, because we need to "legally stop the people who view terrorism as acceptable means of effecting political change."
Plus Olbermann just plain lied when he said Scheuer "issued a call for the head of Al-Qaeda to detonate a major weapon in the United States." I'm guessing Olbermann also wouldn't be able to tell the difference between "I think the Lakers will win the NBA Finals" and "Go Lakers!" See Olbermann's full jump off the deep end from the 1:57 mark on.
